Debconf's question about the priority mode is set to priority medium; to
reconfigure it you have to do 'dpkg-reconfigure -plow debconf' (I got bitten
by this once also :) )
<ASIDE>Joey, when I came across this you told me it was deliberate. What's the
reason for that? It seems *really bad*, and likely to generate lots of
confusion and spurious bug reports, to let the user 'paint themselves
into a box' this way. Could you consider making that question
priority critical?</ASIDE>
