1) PALCode (if you don't know ...)
2) x86 emulation code for initializing VGA and SCSI controllers
3) ext2, msdos, minix filesystems
4) drivers for adaptec, symbios, and some other SCSI controllers

Also keep in mind that it's 600k *uncompressed*, and the Alpha kernel is
900k *compressed* (and several megabytes uncompressed)

Also keep in mind that AlphaBios itself is several hundred K, and arguably
does less than MILO :)
