I found that the ext2 formatted partition on the zip drive which I was using had not been marked as a linux native partition. After I made it linux native I was able to proceed with the installation. So all this bug amounts to at this point is a suggestion that the installation program give a more informative error message in this situation. Thanks, Tom Arns
