Do we have statistics on backport use and comparison with with stable ?
I thought it is widely used by debian _users_ (if not by developpers), and it
should increase now.

Now that backport is officialy in debian, it seems obvious to report bugs in 
the BTS and as stated everything else is a bad workaround
