The postinst script for this packages calls md5sum with command line
switches --check and --status that are nos accepted by the version
of md5sum included in sarge resulting in something like this:
Installing new version of config file /etc/lighttpd/lighttpd.conf ...
Installing new version of config file /etc/init.d/lighttpd ...
Installing new version of config file /etc/logrotate.d/lighttpd ...
md5sum: invalid option -- -
usage: md5sum [-bv] [-c [file]] | [file...]
Generates or checks MD5 Message Digests
-c check message digests (default is generate)
-v verbose, print file names when checking
-b read files in binary mode
The input for -c should be the list of message digests and file names
that is printed on stdout by this program when it generates digests.
Starting web server: lighttpd.
Perhaps it will be better to do away with -4 and go directly for
1.4.13-10 that is in testing since April 9 because after -4
(among other packaging fixes) no more munging is performed with the
/var/www/index.html file (calculating/saving/comparing of md5sums and
such) trying to not break files owned by other HTTP servers:
lighttpd (1.4.13-7) unstable; urgency=low
* Don't touch /var/www/index.html, create /var/www/index.lighttpd.html
instead (closes: #397492)
