..mirror fix scripts, anyone?, was: Listing an old Canadian mirror

Hi,

..maybe I'm blind or something.  Since we are discussing mirrors;
I had the disk journal (ext3) die on my local Debian mirror during an
update, with no panic in /etc/fstab nor in /proc/cmdline, and rsync
being as rock solid as always, I trashed my mirror up pretty good. ;o)

..with the fs now fixed, next step is weed out the bad debs.
Reading what I googled, could have made me an expert on fixing
/var/cache/apt/ etc trash trashing workstations, but I wanna do
md5sum or some such check on all debs in my mirror. Script hints?

..I use http://www.debian.org/mirrors/anonftpsync with
ARCH_EXCLUDE="alpha arm hppa hurd-i386 ia64 m68k \
mipsel mips powerpc s390 sh sparc" to mirror i386 and source
(and amd64 automatically whenever that hits our mirrors) but
a lot of mirrors cannot handle and therefore bans md5sum checks
during rsync updates.
