Status of Debian-Astro compared to others
Hi all,
I created a few pages that show where we are compared to other
distributions and packaging attempts:
* Fedora Astronomy Spin
http://blends.debian.org/astro/tasks/fedora
* AstroConda (from STSCI)
http://blends.debian.org/astro/tasks/astroconda
* ESO Scisoft
http://blends.debian.org/astro/tasks/scisoft
Generally, our selection of packages does not look too bad :-)
However, some of the packages are still missing in Debian. So, if you
want to package something and have no idea what is needed, you may find
a hint there.
Here are the homepages of these distributions:
Fedora https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Astronomy_Spin
AstroConda http://astroconda.readthedocs.io
SciSoft http://www.eso.org/sci/software/scisoft
Best regards
Ole
