Wife^wPower failure bricked sheeva plug

In a fit of insanity this morning, my wife went into the room where my
sheeva plug runs our domestic network and unplugged it in order to plug
something else in.

Since then my sheeva plug seems to be in brick mode. It sits there with
the green LED on the top and both NIC LEDs pulsing in sync, about twice
a second. Poking a paper clip into the reset hole has no effect at all
- it just continues pulsing. Connecting it via the USB lead to another
computer similarly produces no result - it's not seen as being a USB
device at all, which kind of rules out using any recovery tools on it.

Anyone any idea what might be wrong with it? Is there anything that can
be done, or do I just need to buy another one?

TIA,
John
