NSLU2 debian Stable 4.0r0 problem with external disk
Hello all,
I am having trouble installing debian stable 4.0r0 on a nslu2. I have installed a serial interface and while troubleshooting the problem it seems to be related to my generic ide-usb enclosure not being recognised by the debian installer.
When I am running the Linksys OS V2.3R63 it sees the hard disk fine, when I load the Debian firmware it hangs on reboot (boot logs for each below).
Questions:
1/ Is there still a difference in Debian USB firmware support as mentioned here? http://www.nabble.com/differences-in-Debian-USB-firmware-support--tf1569893.html#a4263320
2/Do I have any option apart from buying another disk enclosure?
3/ Is this a known issue and if not should I notify debian-nslu2 webauthors to warn users of this issue?
