To power down the slug by using the power button you have to change
the /etc/inittab file (otherwise the system will only be rebooted):
Replace the line
ca:12345:ctrlaltdel:/sbin/shutdown -t1 -a -r now
by
ca:12345:ctrlaltdel:/sbin/shutdown -t1 -a -h now
