Aha! That makes a lot of sense, I'll look into it. Perhaps I'll have to start sl0 before having ipmasq do its initialization...

Yup, worked beautifully. Needed to put slattach in an init.d script, there's no standard way to do this is there?

In any case, thanks to you and the Netwinder, my $500-5-years-ago powermac is back online even after its PCI controller died!
