Subject: php4: eregi() errors

X-Mailer: bug 3.3.10

Delivered-To: submit@bugs.debian.org

Package: php4
Version: 4:4.1.1-2
Severity: important

This one matches:
eregi("^\\* ([0-9]+).*FETCH.*FLAGS", '* 1 FETCH (FLAGS (\Seen))')

This one doesn't:
eregi("^\\* ([0-9]+).*FETCH.*FLAGS(.*)", '* 1 FETCH (FLAGS (\Seen))')

The only difference is the "(.*)" at the end of the first string. This error
seems to be architecture dependent, because it works fine on x86 but doesn't
work on Alpha.

(By the way it's a piece of code from Squirrelmail)

  Gabor Gludovatz <ggabor@sopron.hu>

Im closing these bugs since the problem has been solved since a while and
eregi() functionality is working fine. Unfortunatly we are missing the
record in which version of apache this issue was solved.

Tested using php4 4.2.3-13 and apache 1.3.27-0.1

Regards
Fabio
