Hm. In the framebuffer that gets loaded from Intel G33 the first line
it spits out is
Loading essential drivers
then
Starting [I think it says starting] /scripts/premount

In /etc/modules it has
firewire-sbp2   and
loop

... and that is all. I don't see anything in  lsmod  that strikes me
as graphics-related. Let me know, I can load a list here:
