Unfortunately, this sort of thing can happen if you run Testing.  Testing is 
meant to be more reliable than Unstable, but sometimes this means whole sets 
of packages are unavailable for awhile.

The solution I have found for this in general is just to download the source 
package from either Stable or Unstable, and compile it against your system.  
Note that you may need to fetch some -dev packages with apt-get, if you don't 
build all your packages from source

This may cause some packages to be held back, but you can force them to be 
upgraded later  {when things enter Testing properly}  by specifically 
requesting to install them using apt-get.
