Re: Open office

Hi,
Some ms-office compatibility is nice, fortunately openoffice is not
needed for that. I chuck the .doc/.rtf at abiword, and gnumeric handles
the excel stuff. About a hundred times faster than openoffice, which
I only ever use to read the _openoffice_ documents people occationally
send me.

But abiword doesn't support doc/rtf-files as good as openoffice does.
There are lots of misrepresentations here...
That used to be a problem for me - I haven't had such problems
with abiword 2.4.1. Still, you may receive documents different
from mine, of course. I don't worry about small faults in a document
I am only going to read on screen anyway. I consider most word
documents I get too ugly anyway, with the jagged right margins
everybody uses. (Yes, I know word can do better than that - people is
part of this problem.)
