> recompile your kernel with a less silly name > then rebuild nvidia :P The name problem is solved: I used "make-kpkg" (which provides the "local version" string functionality, contrary to m-a it seems) to build the module. [I had to run "make prepare" etc. before invoking "make-kpkg".] Gilles
