amd64 firefox up-to-date (1.0.4 for Mozilla update site)

I've installed amd64 firefox through apt-get.

Then I tried to update the browser themes through the mozilla site which
complained that my browser version was not sufficient. (I need to
upgrade to version 1.0.4 before using the Mozilla update site)

Indeed, my version seems to be 1.0.3.  Since I won't be able to get an
amd64 version of firefox from mozilla, do I have to wait for Debian to
update amd64 firefox?

What are my alternatives??
