aRts problem

Hi there, is there a solution for this problem?
If I turn from a song to another quickly Juk stops playing and aRts' use of the system raises up to 60% when it normally is at 0,25%!!! After a while a get a message like "CPU overload, aborting". This problem is not Juk related because the same thing happens with Mplayer and XMMS if I use them with aRts. No troubles if I select ALSA. But unfortunately I can't choose any other server than aRts with Juk! Is there anybody that solved this problem? (I tried putting ALSA instead of Autodetect in my sound system options as I read in a post but it didn't work for me!) Thanks PS: I'm using aRts 1.3.2-2 with kernel version 2.6.8-10-amd64-k8 in Debian pure64 and my audio card uses intel8x0 module
