Pure64 tracks unstable as close as possible, the number of patched packages is around 37, most of them where uploaded in june during the initial porting efford. 5 where uploaded during the last 4 months, 2 java packages and modconf, libc6 and basefiles (the /lib64 symlink transition). what is compiled with gcc-3.4 has the blessing of the corresponding maintainers. Currently, the mozilla-* family is built with gcc-3.4, and the kernel images are. Everything else is compiled with the default compiler for unstable, wich still is gcc-3.3.
