How does gcc-3.3 not work for amd64?

Pure64 tracks unstable as close as possible, the number of patched
packages is around 37, most of them where uploaded in june during
the initial porting efford.

5 where uploaded during the last 4 months, 2 java packages and
modconf, libc6 and basefiles (the /lib64 symlink transition).

what is compiled with gcc-3.4 has the blessing of the corresponding
maintainers. Currently, the mozilla-* family is built with gcc-3.4,
and the kernel images are.

Everything else is compiled with the default compiler for unstable,
wich still is gcc-3.3.

Kind regards
