Alioth Packages file out of date?

Are the Packages files on alioth out of date?

I'm trying to build a chroot, but getting this:

O: Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
O: requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
O: distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
O: or been moved out of Incoming.
O: The following information may help to resolve the situation:
O:
O: The following packages have unmet dependencies:
O:   liblocale-gettext-perl: Depends: perl-base (>= 5.8.0-21.lib64) but 5.8.0-18 is to be installed
O:   libtext-charwidth-perl: Depends: perl-base (>= 5.8.0-21.lib64) but 5.8.0-18 is to be installed
O:   libtext-iconv-perl: Depends: perl-base (>= 5.8.0-21.lib64) but 5.8.0-18 is to be installed
O: E: Br
O: ken
O: ackages
E: Couldn't install root!

The Packages file still lists the Perl version as 5.8.0-18, despite the
fact that 5.8.0-21.lib64 is in the pool.

Why is this?

Eric
