upgrade of X ate my alt-gr

Hi.

I recently updated my system with apt-get dist-upgrade.
All went fine but when I started X I noted that alt-gr doesn't work
anymore.
Eg. I cannot get emails at-sign which comes from alt-gr+2 in finnish
keyboard layout.

I readed some posts from other lists and google, there where some pointers
to similar problems but no solution.
All said that bug is known and closed, how it can be closed while its
still here.

Anyway, does any one know solution for this ?
