OK, here's what happens. At boot:
PCI: Probing PCI hardware
MCPCIA machine check: vector=0x660 pc=0xfffffc0000320064 code=0x2020000
MCPCIA machine check: vector=0x660 pc=0xfffffc0000339650 code=0x2020000
machine check type: unknown
  paltmp [ 0- 1]   =                5 fffffc00005d3cd8
  paltmp [ 2- 3]   = fffffc0000310a38             4400
  paltmp [ 4- 5]   =              807             1001
<snipped more paltmp stuff>
  sha?800000
  INT_MASK0    =   fe0000
  INT_MASK1    =        0
  MC_ERR0      =     6e80
  MC_ERR1      = 800e9604
  CAP_ERR      = 84000000
  PCI_ERR1     =        0
  MDPA_STAT    =        0
  MDPA_SYN     =        0
  MDPB_STAT    =        0
  MDPB_SYN     =        0

Then it goes back up to the MCPCIA line and loops forever. Presumably
some of the numbers change, and it does seem like more messages get
logged at some point, but the above messages are pretty typical.

Any ideas? It's obviously some kind of confusion on the PCI bus, but
what might be causing it?

Thanks.
