FW: Netscape on Alpha?

Here is a conversation I had a while ago with Mr. Farrer about galeon on the
alpha.

Here is what your sources.list should look like for unstable:

#Start here
deb http://http.us.debian.org/debian unstable main contrib non-free
non-free deb http://nonus.debian.org/debian-non-US unstable/non-US main
contrib
# This part is optional:
deb-src http://http.us.debian.org/debian unstable main contrib non-free
contrib non-free
deb-src http://nonus.debian.org/debian-non-US unstable/non-US main contrib
non-free
#end

Running unstable is your choice, but I personally run testing with some
unstable. My sources.list looks like:

# Start here
deb http://http.us.debian.org/debian testing main contrib non-free
deb http://http.us.debian.org/debian unstable main contrib non-free
deb http://nonus.debian.org/debian-non-US testing/non-US main contrib
non-free
deb http://nonus.debian.org/debian-non-US unstable/non-US main contrib
non-free
# This part is optional:
deb-src http://http.us.debian.org/debian testing main contrib non-free
deb-src http://http.us.debian.org/debian unstable main contrib non-free
deb-src http://nonus.debian.org/debian-non-US testing/non-US main contrib
non-free
deb-src http://nonus.debian.org/debian-non-US unstable/non-US main contrib
non-free
#end

Then do:
apt-get clean
apt-get update
apt-get -f dist-upgrade

After that's all done, to install galeon do a:
apt-get -f --default-release unstable install galeon

HTH,
Ron
