If it's based on the UX/BX board then it should run Linux. If it's a 
different board then you are probably out of luck. There is no AlphaBIOS
for these machines, they have their own proprietary ARCSBios, and the only
MILO ever done for a Deskstation board was for the UX.

FWIW, even if it's based on the UX I wouldn't buy it unless you're getting
an incredible deal. The firmware is out of date and it not getting
updated, the onboards NICs are infamous for failing to auto-negotiate.....
