booting alpha

I heard somewhere that the alpha linux boot disks are fat16. If this is
true can't
I make 2 1.44mb partitions on my SCSI drive (by putting it in my pc). I
could then boot windows and
format them and put it in my
dec alpha multia and then type in at the SRM console: 'boot [drive
name]0 -flags 0'
Also- what would the drive name be from srm in a dec multia with a NCR
Scsi controller
with a single IBM SCSI drive? If anyone thinks this might work I'll try
it.

The box reads "Requires Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 or better,"
so I assume it runs on Linux
