Netbooting into Debian setup

Wes,

You may have a problem if you attempt to use bootp with a DEC 3000/300.
This information is from the DEC 3000/400 manual, but I think they are
close enough that this information applies. Not all of the ethernet
devices on DEC machines support bootp. Some use MOP. You can find
this out by typing "show dev" at the >>> hardware prompt. Here is
what the device names mean.

ES Ethernet MOP protocol
EZ	Ethernet BOOTP protocol

Booting with MOP requires an info server or access to a VMS system and
a willing system administrator on your subnet. Booting to BOOTP
should not be a problem.

Possibly you can boot by creating an install disk on a different scsi
drive. The partition would probably have to be bsd style and the
filesystem UFS.

I am interested in your results on getting Debin installed. Good luck.
