Ironically, compiling toolbars.c with g++ rather than gcc compiled it ok
(although it later dies on linker errors and unresolved references).  I
figured it might, since C++ is more lax in regards to casting and a few
other things.

I'm going to try compiling this with the pre-release gcc 2.95 to see what
becomes of it.  I'll keep my fingers crossed :-)
