I've patched gdb to understand the new corefile format. The gdb executable available at http://www.eris.rcpt.to/gdb.gz (yes, I remembered to compress it this time ;). Could somebody who is running an old kernel please test that it still works on old corefiles? ie, if your current gdb works fine, please check if this one does. If so, I'll send the patch off. I'm building a .deb, and it may well be up at the same location by the time you see this post. m.
