Yes and no (I'm just a 50/50 guy today). It did compile MOST things
correctly, but there were some obstinate packages (jade, for a noted
example) that refused to compile under anything since 1.0.1. Optimisation
may be broken again (third time in the egcs run thusfar), but it's getting
better as a compiler, trust me. Also, I'm sure it'll be fixed if proper
bug reports are forwarded to the egcs team.
