I have been running 2.1 exclusively since 2.1.80's, and haven't had any real
problems with those that compiled. Currently my box is running 2.1.125+nfsd
patches, and that has been behaving itself nicely. Apart from a few kernels
starting with 2.1.90 or so up to .99 there aren't any that have been really
bad of those that I tried.
