No, the stock 2.0 kernels are NOT suitable for that. There are NO alpha
compiled 2.0 kernels available, as
the new rescue disks are work in progress.
You´ll have to either
1) Use the kernel patch package from <gige.epy.co.at> with
kernel-source-2.0.35
or
2) apply the alpha patches, sx dma patch, and !!20.36pre12 or later!! patch to
the 2.0.35 kernel source (original, not debian patched)
