There seems to be problems with the isa drivers with NE2K cards. I
don't know what goes wrong, but I saw something on the list or in the
Readme's about it.

Do you have a nullmodem cable or a laplink cable for ppp or plip?
Otherwise you probably have to take out the diskdrive and stick it
into another maschine and copy everything needed onto a partition.

There are some newer install disks on
http://lhpca.univ-lyon1.fr/axp/debian.html

Try those, maybe they fix the NE2k problem, maybe not. :)
