alien: packege version number is incremented

Package: alien
Version: 6.03hamm1

Note: this is on Alpha!

I got ytalk-3.0.3-4.src.rpm from ftp.redhat.com, and wanted to examine
it. I ran alien -t ytalk-3.0.3-4.src.rpm, and this was the output:

   $ alien -t ytalk-3.0.3-4.src.rpm
   * Warning: alien is not running as root!
   * Ownerships of files in the generated packages will
   * probably be messed up.
   -- Examining ytalk-3.0.3-4.src.rpm
   -- Unpacking ytalk-3.0.3-4.src.rpm
   114 blocks
   -- Building the package ytalk-3.0.3-5.tgz

   Generation of ytalk-3.0.3-5.tgz complete.
   -- Successfully finished

Note that somewhere 3.0.3-4 is converted to 3.0.3-5.
This happens with all the src.rpm's I downloaded (total 8).

I'm not near an i386 box to verify this on that, but this does not
sound like the typical i386 -> Alpha porting bug...

debian-alpha cc'ed.

Thanks,
Paul Slootman
