Hmm...well, there are other side-effects of overclocking that aren't
related to heat that may be affecting it also (very technical and totally
useless knowledge...suffice to say it can be BAD).  That is kind of an
"extreme" overclocking on any architecture, so I wouldn't put it past the
Alpha to show similar problems as the Intels do if overclocked to a
similar degree.

Maybe, maybe not.  Have you applied the patches for kernel compilation, by
any chance?  I can't remember offhand what was fixed by them, but unless
you're running a development kernel, you probably need them for something
(I'm running 2.1.59, so I'm pretty immune to most of the patches).  Milo
could be a problem, but I doubt it would do what you're describing.

I don't use SRM (I use ARC mostly because I'm kinda slow upstairs), but
there are some others here that do :)  Maybe they can offer some
assitance....
