I'm sorry for responding to question apparently directed to Nikhil, all
I want to add is that I managed to build the menu package several weeks
ago, and, keeping in mind that it might be useful to make it generally
available through uploading it to master, I linked it statically with
libstdc++-2.8.0, but dynamically with the rest of the libraries.  Then I
uploaded it to master, but it seems to have disappeared.  I will try
re-uploading it, though.
