Re: Sound card not detected by the Debian installer



Just a note, I installed RC2 Buster and it did not detect sound card, but I tried to follow the instructions in the Debian Accessibility Wiki but unfortunately there is an error.

It said to add 
soft_synth 
to /etc/modules

But that's not correct, it has to be 

soft_synth=1

Paul Wise of the Wiki let me change it, so if you see a notice that the Wiki has been changed, I did it.

Works fine.

Non ROMAN (Latin alphabet) languages aren't displayed correctly when
setting up, but the installer runs in English without any prompting or
even selection of sound card.

So the short answer is that it works.

Now I have to report in KDE the konsole program hangs up.
Mate-Terminal is being used.
Also I can't seem to get Magic SysRq keys to work in the newest
version of Debian.
