Could you try debian-buster-DI-alpha4-amd64-netinst.iso from
http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/buster_di_alpha4/amd64/iso-cd/
? Didier reported it having no problem with it.

I agree, but it's unfortunately too late to be fixed in time for the
10.0 release. I hope it'll be fixable by the next 10.1 point release.
