He says it does have to do with accessibility. He says that the graphical installer uses a readline interface with Speakup and it is impossible to select an option because the arrows don't work. He had to restart the installation because he couldn't make a selection. He is not an advanced user, so this could be something he did wrong, a bug in the installer, or indeed an accessibility issue. I've again asked him to post here so you can hopefully ask him directly.
