Etch rc1: BRLTTY is not installed

Hi,

At the weekend, I installed the netinst-CD in a VMware environment. At
the boot prompt, I entered the following:

install brltty=ht,ttyS0,de

At the end of the installation, the CD was ejected and I confirmed the
computer's reboot. The installation was not ended properly. It said
Running brltty ...
on the Braille display. This did not change after a few minutes. So, I
switched to the second console and looked at the file /var/log/syslog.
Here the last ten lines:

Nov 18 21:30:58 finish-install: info: Running
/usr/lib/finish-install.d/50brltty

Nov 18 21:31:02 apt-install: Paketlisten werden gelesen...

Nov 18 21:31:02 apt-install:

Nov 18 21:31:02 apt-install: Abhängigkeitsbaum wird aufgebaut...

Nov 18 21:31:02 apt-install:

Nov 18 21:31:02 apt-install: Vorgeschlagene Pakete:

Nov 18 21:31:02 apt-install: libbrlapi1-dev festival brltty-flite
brltty-x11

Nov 18 21:31:02 apt-install: Die folgenden NEUEN Pakete werden
installiert:

Nov 18 21:31:02 apt-install: brltty

Nov 18 21:33:59 init: Starting pid 2021, console /dev/vc/2: '/bin/sh'

I switched of the virtual machine and restarted it. BRLTTY was not
started as it had not been installed. At the following installation via
aptitude install brltty, BRLTTY was neither started automatically. So, I
entered the command
brltty -b ht -d ttyS0 -t de

Is this problem known already? At my last test with the image from
October 19, these difficulties did not appear.

Best regards, Simon
