I have actually not been added to the project as far as I know, so I would be surprised you need additinal permissions to clone the repository.

Especially since this is a public repository which can always be cloned by everyone. Not being able to clone it would mean it's private and would mean github would be charging for the hosting.

What error message did you get while attempting to clone the repository.
