You may also try booting the kernel with EMILE, which sets up the
environment a little differently.

Thank you.

I just gave EMILE a try, but here's what I get:
[teclo@lithium] /home/teclo/emile>ls
boot  lib  sbin  usr  vmlinux.bin
[teclo@lithium] /home/teclo/emile>./sbin/emile-install -f first -s
second -i vmlinux.bin /dev/fd0
./sbin/emile-install: invalid option -- i
ERROR: cannot create image
[teclo@lithium] /home/teclo/emile>

emile-install --help gives:

./emile-install --help
Usage: ./emile-install [OPTION] <image>
Create an EMILE bootable floppy disk
EMILE allows you to boot linux from a floppy disk
   -h, --help      display this text
   -v, --verbose   verbose mode
-f, --first     first level to copy to floppy
-s, --second    second level to copy to floppy
-k, --kernel    kernel to copy to floppy
-r, --ramdisk   ramdisk to copy to floppy
-g, --getinfo   get information from >image>

emile-0.11CVS m68k@imac(ppc GNU/Linux) Fri May 19 22:37:04 CEST 2006

The good command line is:

emile-install -f boot/emile/first_scsi -s boot/emile/m68k-second_scsi -k vmlinux.bin /dev/fd0

then you must set command line:

emile-set-cmdline /dev/fd0 "root=/dev/sda4"

where "/dev/sda4" is your root partition.

Sorry for bad documentation...
