GVP IO not recognized on the Amiga

Hello,

The faq says that the kernal is supposed to recognize the GVP I/O card
in the Amiga.  The 2.2.10 I'm running does not seem to.  Has anyone
else with a card like this gotten it to be recognized.  Perhaps a kernel
module that I didn't notice when installed is needed?  According to the
faq, this is supported hardware in Linxu-m68k.

Suggestions welcome.
