No, this means that none of the Debian/68k developers has a Mac. We
entirely rely on Mac users testing the distribution. My guesswork edits to
the install guide, Christian's tests on Amiga and the Mac install guide
all differed in not so subtle ways. It seems I was off on some accounts
because I didn't do any potato install in a long while, the Mac install
guide was off because it wasn't written based on the test boot-floppies
version, and Christian was usually right on.

Our description of the install procedure on Mac can only be as accurate as
the contributions and feedback from Mac users permit. If you ask why
anybody would dare to release a distribution for a system that he can't
test on and will never use ... let's not go there.

Regarding ttySx, IDE and booter problems: These are kernel problems
(the undefined isn't even a kernel problem, it's not a problem at all,
just setserial assuming all serial hardware is 16x50 based).
Please ask on linux-mac68k@mac.linux-m68k.org. That's where Linux
developers for m68k Mac hang out (the two or three of them that remain,
that is). I follow that list so I'll be able to pick up any kernel patches
that might be posted there to solve your problems. I won't be able to do
anything without detailed patches. The people on linux-mac68k won't be
able to help you without a detailed description of your problem.
