Yep, that's what I meant, but that was on another ML :-)

Nope. Roman Zippel pretty much single handedly wrote the emulator to
include the basic functions, enough to get the system up and running. It's
up to volunteers to fill in the blanks now - the current emulator should
be stable enough to permit further development even on a LC040 system. 

It might not even be necessary to write lots of new code if you manage
just to call into the fpsp040 package routines from the emulator.

Cheaper silicon. Or reuse of potentially broken silicon.
