Postscript on Kyocera FS1700

Apologies if this is not the most appropriate forum for this question ...

I have rewired a serial cable to connect a SE/30 to a Kyocera FS1700 with
KPDL (their emulation of postscript). The printer works fine with postscript
from the appletalk network.

I have installed LPRng and APSFilter packages.

When the printer is in Postscript emulation it only prints blank pages. When
other emulations are used, the raw postcript code comes out.

One thought is to run APSFilter in another emulation that the printer
supports. However, the SETUP script mentioned in the APSFilter documentation
is not in the setup directory. Is the only option to remove and re-install
the package or is there some way to access the setup script run when the
package was first installed?
