Come on. Have you even read the manual page for fetchmail?
they have tons of examples
poll pop.provider.net proto pop3
       user jsmith, with password secret1, is jsmith here;

so therefore

poll popmail.liberto.it with proto pop3
	user rygay@liberto.it, with password secret, is localuser here

notice the localuser part.
