w

Hey!
I've installed Debian, but there're problems with "w".
In mans there's something about new format of utmp in libc6 (vs libc5) and
some conflicts but I want "w" work!
If I remove /var/run/utmp and touch new one and now "w" it's ok (but it's
say there's nobody - it's ok, I know), but if login writes something to it
the "w" doesn't work immediatelly.
So where's a patch or solution?
