There's kde (2:960312-8), and gimp (1.0). No gnome; gnome 0.25 might be in
RedHat sometime (was only released last week). gnome 0.20 (source) is in 
unstable, hasn't been built for m68k (try building it yourself).

Report as a bug? /opt isn't present on my system, and it's not in the
filesystem layout documents for all I remember. Maybe this stuff went in other 
directories ... find is your friend :-) Just _creating_ that directory 
didn't help??

Seems your choices are to postpone the article, or to get kde working on 
your system. kde, gnome and such are sure nice, but not exactly my priority 
(and keeping up with the updates in unstable will be enough workload I guess).
