Now that I've imported all the raw assets into the database, I notice
that my guess that the mtimes on the files would be the end time of
their recording seems to be incorrect, too:

sreview=> select raw_filename, raw_start, raw_end from raw_talks where slug='outreachy' and raw_filename like '%MOV' order by raw_start;
                  raw_filename                  |         raw_start         |        raw_end
------------------------------------------------+---------------------------+------------------------
 /home/pocock/2017-10-07-prishtina/DSC_6640.MOV | 2017-10-07 11:07:42.36+00 | 2017-10-07 11:13:06+00
 /home/pocock/2017-10-07-prishtina/DSC_6642.MOV | 2017-10-07 11:09:17.36+00 | 2017-10-07 11:19:14+00
 /home/pocock/2017-10-07-prishtina/DSC_6643.MOV | 2017-10-07 11:17:39.24+00 | 2017-10-07 11:34:30+00
 /home/pocock/2017-10-07-prishtina/DSC_6641.MOV | 2017-10-07 11:18:59.84+00 | 2017-10-07 11:19:02+00

You'll notice that those are overlapping. That can't be right, obviously.

Do you have more information? If you don't, I can just update the start
times so that they line up in order of their DSC number, but then they
will be wildly out of sync with the audio recordings, and then A/V sync
will be a nightmare.

Thanks,
