Ah sorry. Yes, there need to be different output qualities; I was only
talking about max and downsampling from there.

I would expect Nageru to support cheap, high-quality devices if they
come along, but can't promise anything, of course.

As Debian would own the needed Blackmagics and has funding, this would
not be an immediate problem, though. Especially if the cameras are
aligned with the capture hardware.

I have no idea about current cameras, but just went to
https://geizhals.de/?cat=dvcam&xf=207_XLR&sort=p and went down; the
Canon XA25 seems to fit the bill at 1864€.

I didn't do the math; Debian would need to own hardware for sprints in
any case. If more than the basic could be rented at cost-effective
pricing: no idea.
